Here are some questions I get asked a lot!
What the hell are you doing in Paraguay?
Uh, swinging condoms filled with water over my head to show their durability, training my dog not to chase the chickens, teaching señoras how to make banana bread, trying to get kids excited about the environment, teaching youth about leadership development, self esteem and healthy relationships.
The universe wanted it this way.
Why Peace Corps?
Because if you’re 23 and not doing something that scares the shit out of you, you’re not doing it right.
What happens next?
first, lol @ this question, which I was being asked daily before I even left the country. As of now, I’m thinkin’ Master’s in Social Work (maybe Berkeley will finally notice the sub-par chica who’s had a crush on them since she was 14) and then later destroying the patriarchy. But y’know, one day at a time.
What do you miss most?
What’s the food like?
Starchy & oily but generally tragically delicious.
How are you coping with being landlocked?
lol how’s the weather?
lol ask my heat rash.
Do you have any friends?
YEAH OK? They’re mostly children but they rock.
